Halifax Humane Society partners with Petco Love Lost to help reunite found pets with their families using picture-based matching technology. Every pet entering the shelter is photographed and listed, helping neighbors and animal shelters compare reports in one place.

If safe, have the animal scanned. Once you have a microchip number, you can look up the pet’s registration.
TAKE A WALK
Be mindful of safety and physical distancing, take found dogs for a walk on a leash to where you found them.
