This past Saturday, our community came together for the Subaru Share the Love adoption event, resulting in 56 pets finding loving families in a single day.

Hosted by Subaru of Daytona as part of Subaru of America’s Share the Love® initiative, the event reflected Subaru’s ongoing commitment to animal welfare. Subaru’s support extends far beyond a single event—helping make adoptions possible throughout the year by supporting shelters and the lifesaving work that happens every day behind the scenes.

Leading up to the event, teams across the organization worked tirelessly to prepare pets for adoption. From intake and veterinary services to animal care, facilities, volunteers, development, and leadership, each department played a vital role in ensuring animals were healthy, supported, and ready to meet their new families. This collaborative effort is at the heart of sharing the love of pet adoption with homeless animals and families in our community.

The event itself offered something for everyone. Families met their new companions, children enjoyed face painting provided by For Any Event LLC and Adventures N Art LLC, and attendees grabbed a bite from The Hot Dog Dispensary, helping keep the day fun and welcoming. Thanks to partners like Hill’s Science Diet, every adopter also went home with free pet food to help their new pet start off strong.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our volunteers, staff, and community supporters, who showed up in full force to make the day such a success.
