Pals of Animal Welfare & Sheltering (PAWS) Summer Camp

Due to the renovation of our main facility, there will be no Summer Camp this year. We look forward to having a fantastic Summer Camp in 2019! At that time we will have a brand new education room that will offer many interactive activities for kids and adults alike.

Halifax Humane Society offers a yearly summer camp for children ages 5-11 (ages vary by camp) at the shelter to learn firsthand experience about shelter life as well as more information about dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, marine life, and more. The children will tour various areas of the HHS shelter, work with HHS staff, hear from the HHS certified dog trainer, learn from the staff veterinarian, and learn from various wildlife experts that visit the camp. A field trip to the Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet is also included in the camp.

The camp is open to children ages 6-8 & 9-11, and offers the perfect experience for a young animal lover. Six camps are held each year. Check back for updates as to days and weeks of future camps. The camp runs from 9am-3pm daily at the HHS shelter at 2364 LPGA Boulevard.

Admission to the camp is $150/camper. This covers all five days of the camp, one t-shirt, snacks and drinks, field trip admission, and materials. Additional camp T-shirts will be available for purchase. To learn more, or to register your child for HHS PAWS Summer Camp, please visit www.HHSPawsCamp.org, or call (386) 274-4703 ext. 319 or email VolunteerManager@halifaxhumanesociety.org . Space is limited to 20 children per class.
