The Mutt Strutt is a crucial annual fundraiser at Halifax Humane Society. It helps us continue to service over 25,000 abused, abandoned, and neglected animals across Volusia County. We encourage participants to join in the fun with friends, family, and co-workers by forming fundraising teams. Enjoy some fun and friendly competition while making a real difference in the lives of animals. Prizes will be awarded to those raising the most money!

10th Annual 5k Fun Run and Walk-a-thon is April 18, 2020
Put your paws in the sand on Daytona Beach! Halifax Humane Society's Annual Mutt Strutt on the Beach brings together over 1,000 people and hundreds of their furry friends. It's the only day of the year that dogs are allowed on the World's Most Famous Beach!
We hope we can count on you to help us achieve this year's goal of $50,000 so that we may continue our mission of caring for our community's lost, abandoned, and neglected animals at Halifax Humane Society.
Registration is required to attend the event. The registration fees are affordably priced. For merely $25 in advance (or $30 at the event), participants receive a limited-edition event t-shirt, drink ticket, and raffle ticket. We also offer a “no frills” registration of $5 in advance (or $10 at the event). As always, dogs walk free with a registered human!

This is a critical fundraising event to support the mission of Halifax Humane Society. The Mutt Strutt is an annual 5K Fun Run/Walk-a-thon held on the World's Most Famous Beach in which dogs are invited to join in the festivities. It's the only day of the year they are allowed on Daytona Beach!!!
The event takes place on Saturday, April 18th, 2020 at the Daytona Beach Bandshell. All ages are encouraged to join us for a morning of fun with our four-legged friends. Ask family, friends, and colleagues to support your efforts on behalf of HHS homeless animals and bring us closer to the goal of every healthy and treatable pet being guaranteed a home.
With 1,000 people and their dogs expected to attend, it's important that everyone follows these rules to make sure we all enjoy the day.
• All dogs must be kept on a leash no more than 6 feet long.
• All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations.
• All owners must clean up after their dogs. Plastic bags will be available at the registration table, but please come prepared with bags of your own.
• If you are bringing your dog, you should be confident of his/her ability to behave appropriately in a crowd and around lots of other dogs. Ask a dog owner's permission before approaching with your dog or child, and please dispense food/treats only to your own dog.
