Building on Halifax Humane Society’s 14-year partnership with the ASPCA, AccessVet offers high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter surgery, expanding our community’s capacity by at least 30% and helping reduce pet overpopulation across our region.
When a pet is hurt or not feeling well, families shouldn’t have to wonder whether they can afford to find out why. We provide care for everyday illness and injury, including heartworm testing and treatment, so pets can get back to being themselves.
Saying goodbye to a pet is never easy. When that time comes, our team provides gentle, compassionate end-of-life care so families can say goodbye with dignity, surrounded by comfort and support.
AccessVet is a community access-to-care clinic. We provide essential veterinary services with compassion, urgency, and dignity — no questions, just help — while working in partnership with local private veterinary practices to strengthen the entire animal welfare and veterinary ecosystem.
