Becoming a Volunteer with the Halifax Humane Society - Daytona Beach, Florida

How To Get Started!

Volunteers are a vital asset to the animals at HHS and make our programs possible. To become an HHS volunteer you must be 18 years of age or older, be willing to make a commitment of time and attend classes at the shelter.

Volunteering begins by completing three introductory classes: HHS101 Orientation, PET111 Dog Walking, and PET112 Cat Socialization. Class schedules are available at the shelter and are generally held from 1-4 p.m. on a Tuesday or Wednesday each month.

Upon completing the introductory course, volunteers can sign up for additional courses to make them eligible for administrative and customer service tasks and offsite events.

Class size is limited and registration is required.
