Aggressive/Quarantine Shelter

HHS has a separate building used to house aggressive and quarantine animals. These animals need special care and handling due to their behavior and/or medical condition. Some of these animals are not dogs or cats, but raccoons, rats, and other animals in need of relocation or medical attention.

Animal Control Officers will bring all type of animals to HHS, many of which need to be quarantined away from the non-aggressive and healthy animals available in our adoption area. Generally, quarantines can last up to 10-days due to health issues. Dogs that bite and are not up-to-date with their rabies shots may also be placed under a bit quarantine.
