2nd Annual Mutt Strutt 5K Coming Soon
Feb 3, 2012 – Join us for the 2nd Annual Mutt Strutt 5K, taking place right on Daytona Beach on Saturday, March 31! Registration is at 8:00am, and the race begins at 9:00am at the Daytona Beach Bandshell & Beach Area. This is a free, non-competitive event for all ages, including 4-legged friends that are leashed and well-behaved.

With the help of PetSmart Charities, Halifax Humane Society is working to prevent overpopulation by providing 300 female cat sterilization surgeries for only $20 in the month of February. Dec 15, 2011 – 2011 was a busy year for Halifax Humane Society, as we made many changes. These changes are allowing us to help more animals and improve the quality of life for animals both inside and outside the walls of our shelter. We created the following video to allow our friends in the community to take a brief look at the changes being made at Halifax Humane Society, and what they mean for our furry friends.
2nd Annual Fur Ball Gala a Huge Success

The Halifax Humane Society’s 2nd Annual Fur Ball Gala resulted in a fun, festive time for all at the Ocean Center Thursday evening. Over 600 members of the community attended this year’s chocolate-themed event, which raised over $70,000 for the animals of Halifax Humane Society.
