Yappy Hour is May 14 at Main Street Station

Main Street Station is the site of this month's HHS Yappy Hour! Main Street Station is located at 316 Main Street on the Daytona Beachside. The event takes place Wednesday, May 14 from 5:30-7:30pm, perfect for a get-together after work.

Over 200 Bikers Enjoy Bike Week Ruff Ride

Over 200 bikers took part in Halifax Humane Society's 2014 Bike Week Ruff Ride. Riders met at the HHS shelter to register, pick up their t-shirts, and draw their first poker cards.

Help HHS Lead the Way for Community Animals

In 2013, Halifax Humane Society continued to take major steps toward a brighter future for our community's animals.  We are providing more happy endings for our animals than ever before, and are creating programs that provide more exposure than ever for our pets.  HHS is also working proactively to combat the pet overpopulation crisis in our area.  We created a video to allow our friends in the community to take a brief look at how HHS is impacting lives every day, and our vision going forward.

4th Annual Fur Ball a Huge Success

Halifax Humane Society's 4th Annual Fur Ball Gala & Silent Auction raised $105,000 for our community's pets!  The Fur Ball is Halifax Humane Society’s premier fundraising event, and once again featured the theme of “A Chocolate Affair.”

HHS Visits Good Day Orlando for Veterans Day

Halifax Humane Society joined Fox 35's Good Day Orlando for their Veterans Day feature on our Paws of Freedom program!  Community Outreach Director Tyler Stover joined Jennifer Muni-Sathoff from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Sergeant Steve and his dog Cookie, who was adopted through the program.

75th Anniversary Books Available for Sale

Halifax Humane Society's 75th anniversary commemorative book is more than just a celebration of an animal shelter. This is a window into the compassion and caring for animals from employees, volunteers, supporters, and our community as a whole. It is the very best moments taken from 75 years of caring for the animals in our local community.

HHS Now Offering Dog Obedience Classes

Need help getting your dog to listen?  Halifax Humane Society now offers dog obedience classes!  Classes are available on Saturday mornings right here at the Halifax Humane Society animal shelter.  The entire course, which consists of four classes, costs just $35 for dogs adopted from HHS, and $45 for others.  Similar classes often cost well over $100 elsewhere!  To sign your dog up for obedience class, please call HHS at (386) 274-4703 and press "1" for our adoption lobby.
