HHS Wins National CLASSY Award

Halifax Humane Society was selected Saturday as the National Winner for Animal Advocacy and Services at the 4^th Annual CLASSY Awards ceremony. The award was presented at philanthropy’s biggest night, the CLASSY Awards’ red carpet award ceremony on Saturday, September 22, 2012 in San Diego, CA. It is the largest philanthropic award ceremony in the country, recognizing the top charitable achievements around the world.

HHS Now Offering Dog Obedience Classes

Need help getting your dog to listen? Halifax Humane Society now offers dog obedience classes! Classes are available on Saturday mornings right here at the Halifax Humane Society animal shelter. The entire course, which consists of four classes, costs just $35 for dogs adopted from HHS, and $45 for others. Similar classes often cost well over $100 elsewhere!
