Tickets are only $75 per person and include dinner, drinks, and the chocolate feast. We are anticipating 600 guests to come out and enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner, dancing with live entertainment, fabulous silent and live auctions, and a dessert lounge.
The Fur Ball Gala and Silent Auction is the Halifax Humane Society’s premier fundraising event. Last year, more than 250 of the area's most influential community members attended the Inaugural “Tacky Holiday Sweater” event which raised over $30,000 for the shelter. It was a great evening of fun music, food, drinks, and a riveting auction. Last year's event was such a huge success we had to move locations to accommodate the growing attendance numbers. The twist this year is our chocolate theme. After dinner, all guests will be able to indulge in our chocolate lounge provided by local dessert companies, restaurants, and caterers. The tasting will be judged by our own local chocolatier, Angell & Phelps as well as a People’s Choice Award picked by attendees.
The 2011 event will feature outstanding silent and live auction items for you to bid on. We have secured jewelry pieces from Molto Bella, numerous golf foursomes, hotel vacations, and much more. Our live auction will again feature some exciting items including stays at vacation homes, limo services, bi-plane rides, Bahamas trips, electronics, and sports memorabilia.
After you have perused through the auction items, the Chocolate Tasting Lounge will open for sampling. Local companies who have confirmed their participation include Angell & Phelps, Ivy Lane Bistro, Sweetie’s Bakery, Grammy K’s, Amber's Jewel Catering, Val's Plastered Pastries, Diane's Rum Cakes, Vanilla Bean Cupcake Bakery, Chuherias Hondurenas, Dixon’s Delights, Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse, Ovations Catering, and Paradise Cheesecake.

Auction Item Donations
Companies that donate auction items will be featured in the official Fur Ball program and will be recognized the day of the event.
