Dog Obedience Classes
Need help getting your dog to listen? Halifax Humane Society now offers dog obedience classes! Classes are available on Saturday mornings right here at the Halifax Humane Society animal shelter. The entire course, which consists of four classes, costs just $35 for dogs adopted from HHS, and $45 for others. Similar classes often cost well over $100 elsewhere! Group class is a great way to learn what your dog is really thinking, and is a great way to bond with him or her. In this class, you will learn to train your dog using positive reinforcement methods. Your dog will learn commands such as sit, stay, down, come, as well as loose leash walking. You also learn problem solving techniques to work on with your dog. While in the class, your dog will also become socialized with other dogs and people. The foundational training you and your dog will receive will continue to help you throughout your dog’s life.
