Halifax Humane Society would like to extend a special thanks to local veterinarians who have recently provided services at reduced cost to animals in need through the Dr. Michael Burke recently removed a fish hook from the mouth of a disadvantaged dog. He also performed emergency surgery on an HHS dog that had a severe uterine infection called pyometra. Dr. Amber Noga, DVM & Levi Dr. Amber Noga performs two difficult surgeries on a severly abused cat. Levi is alive today thanks to the staff at the Cat Care Clinic. Dr. Joseph Harper amputates the damaged leg of a kitten so she can live a life free of pain. Dr. Mark Anderson surgically repairs the back legs of an injured dog. Right now, Rex is still healing and is expected to make a complete recovery. His prognosis is good that he can live a happy life in a new home. Precious Socket With help from skilled veterinary eye surgeons, Dr. Benjamin Rawls, this little guy now sees the world as a great place to play and loves everyone he meets.
