CARE OF LOST, UNWANTED, AND ABANDONED ANIMALS 17,000 + dogs & cats cared for each year 1,000 + injured wildlife Active Lost & Found Service Emergency pickup & care for injured strays 24 hours/day, 365 days/year ADOPTION PROGRAM All cat and dog adoptions are $70 Every effort is made to assure that all adopted animals go to responsible homes All adoptees receive vaccinations and are dewormed before leaving the shelter All adoptees receive a free health check from chosen veterinarian All adoptees receive a microchip & registration All adoptees receive an I.D. tag All adoptees are spayed or neutered LOW COST SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM & CLINIC Cats: $20 male; $35 female Dogs: male: $35 (to 29 lbs.) & $50 (30 - 59 lbs.) & $55 (60 - 80 lbs.) female: : $45 (to 29 lbs.) & $55 (30 - 59 lbs.) & $65 (60 - 80 lbs.) GRIEF COUNSELING There comes a time in every pet owners life when they have to say good-bye to a loyal trusted friend. The loss of a pet can be a very difficult for some people to deal with. Many find it comforting to know that grief counseling is available at HHS should the need arise. INDIVIDUAL PET CREMATIONS General cremation fees: Under 50 lbs. $35 50 to 100 lbs. $55 Over 100 lbs. $85 Individual cremation with ashes add $50 HUMANE EDUCATION Educational tours of the shelter Free classes available to schools & groups Speakers for businesses & organizations Information on animal welfare issues: videos, books, literature, and periodicals
